I really pride myself in finding cool unusual clothing for my very unusual little man. What better way to really get attention on the playground than to show up in one really cool vintage tattoo inspired camp shirt from Kidcosmic?
Actually a basic camp shirt can be played up or played down making this a great all around all season shirt for Connor's wardrobe. It's pretty roomy which makes it a great cool summertime shirt on its own but match it with a short or long sleeved undershirt and you're ready to rock for fall and winter as well. I plan on putting Connor in this one as it gets cooler matched with a pair of great black "leggings" on his arms. Alabama is fairly mild in the winter months and recycling our baby leggings as arm covers makes for the perfect match to turn this cool camp shirt into a great winter time shirt.
I can't even tell you how adorable and totally cool rocker Connor looks in this shirt matched with a pair of dark jeans. I have to say I'm a bit jealous as I'm more than positive my child is far more fashionable than I am.
Check out the great selection of unique children's clothing and accessories over at Kidcosmic!

Go Natural Baby is a must have!
I really don't care if your knees go limp when I talk about awesome organic clothing or if you think its all unnecessary but seriously enough I'm not some granola eating mamma who preaches on a soapbox about why you should live green. Mind you I just got done eating granola and I'm about to tell you why being green is cool, heh, but if you met me on the street there is nothing about me that would automatically tip you off. Actually most people seem suprised when I ramble off my green living stratigys. Maybe thats because I'm no green saint or wear obviously organic clothing, but then again maybe its because we live exactly like everyone else.. just trying to make a few better choices.
My green stratigy is really all about saving money, looking cool and feeling comfortable, and well bettering my own life while helping the planet. This means I make green choices based on what is actually best for our family. Mind you if you offer me two identical products.. one made "green" and the other made normally unless its outragiously more expensive I will always choose the green product. With all that said I know it sounds like I'm rambling but I promise I'm not. The whole point is people tell me Connor has a super cool wardrobe when half of them would not even guess that a good 50% or better of the items in Connor's closet were made from bamboo or organic cotton. Unlike what most people on the street think about organic clothing being plain, Connor's closet is a rainbow of blues, greens, reds, and even prints. Many of which are green and/or fair trade driven.
I
ronically one of my first real green clothing "love" was the Zah Organics line over at Go Natural Baby. I remeber it as Go Natural Baby was one of the first companies I really got in touch with about organic clothing and it was all because of the Zah Organics Hawthorne Tshirt in Sea Glass. I've been drooling over it since last winter and it finally arrived a few weeks ago. I have to say it's as pretty in person as it is in the pictures and regardless if it was organic or not I'd have to have it. A pretty light blue for the main shirt flanked by two sea green sleeves it looks amazing on Connor with his bright blue eyes. Match the outfit with the Fairfax Vest and the Coco Pants you have yourself a pretty rocking outfit! It's starting to get warm here now but we still find use for the Fairfax vest and Hawthorne Tshirt quite often as if its rainy or a cool night both are perfect for layering. The Coco Pants are actually pretty warm but they actually have a decent amount of give to them so I'm sure we will be wearing them all fall and into next spring. I can't wait to put the entire outfit back together again!
We are headed to flordia next week on vacation and I packed the whole outfit as it gets cool at night on the beach and I hope to take Connor down to the sand after dark and see if we can spot some crabs or other small animals. Even just the vest will be perfect for the cool sea wind over his summer tee and shorts!
Regardless if your looking to make those first few steps towards green living or if your already a pro or even if you just want a beautiful outfit for a child you love you really have to check out Go Natural Baby. She just expanded her online catalog and added some items, including some organic pet bedding and acessories that we are already drooling over. One aspect of our life that I really have not branched out in is dog items when it comes to living green. Maybe its time I did!
Check out the entire selection at Go Natural Baby!
Go Natural Baby has offered two full outfits to two lucky winners. You can choose either the boy's outfit which includes a tee, coco pants, and vest in your choice of sizes or the girls outfit that includes a tee, coco pants, and kimono dress in your choice of sizes.

2 Little Stars for your birthday!
We did a review of the 2 Little Stars adult throw blankets awhile back and its still amost impossible to separate me from my favorite blanket. It's divine! When 2 Little Stars heard about Connor's birthday they enthusiastically pointed out that they make personalized tees and onesies as well and that Connor really had to have his own onesie made just for his birthday!
Connor ended up with a personalized applique tee with the number two on the front. The number itself is cut out of a really cute fabric and its sewn down around the number, or letter if you perfer, with a matching thread so there is never any worry of unraveling. You choose the fabric, thread color, the tee shirt color, and even if you want it lower or upper case if your doing a letter. So you end up with a tee shirt all your own with very little worry that another kid will show up at the party with the same tee!
2 Little Stars also offers a really cool selection of applique tees as well that you can personalize with your childs name. We really like the dump truck on blue, what little boy would not want a dump truck shirt with their name on it?
Visit 2 Little Stars to see the entire selection!
2 Little Stars was generous enough to offer one of our readers there very own tee! Initial or number tee.

It’s becoming a tradition!
Connor wore a Nina and Tom I’m This Many One tee shirt to his first birthday party. I cried and sniffled a little as I put it on him as I was so beside myself that my little “baby” was turning one. It seems like the bigger he gets the more I want to put the breaks on to just enjoy the moment a little longer. Connor like every other little kid loves his new found freedoms, abilities, and new things he is learning every day. His I’m This Many One tee was a constant in his wardrobe all year as it went with everything and it answers that important question before anyone asks it.. “How old are you?”. heh.
Well with his birthday approaching Nina and Tom was kind enough to not only send us another I’m This Many Two shirts but also sent me into another bout of sniffles and cries as I dressed him for his two year old pictures. Something about putting his new shirt on him and seeing it fit looser than his old one made the whole year flash before my eyes. His first big boy ride on, learning to finally ride his tricycle without me pushing it, possibly finally talking in full sentences, and of course his second birthday party. The same thoughts raced through my mind last year but it was learning to walk, saying Mommy for the first time, and learning to eat with a spoon or fork by himself. Oh how much has changed in one year. I’ve gone from Mommy to Mom (and he uses it every thirty seconds), crawling to walking to dancing to running and now even jumping and running at the same time, learning to climb EVERYTHING, coloring, you name it if he can think about it he will try it. I can only guess what the next year will have in store for us!
We love Nina and Tom for so many other reasons than just their super cool tees. Its summer and summer means comfy shorts at Nina and Tom. Last year Connor received a pair of the comfy shorts in the cupcake pattern. I took a picture of him in his I’m This Many shirt and cupcake comfy shorts for the birthday party last year. The funny thing is that boy is impossible to buy shorts and pants for as he is so skinny everything sags on him. We got the shorts in a size 2 which I was surprised to find fit him though they were a bit long and baggy in the legs, who cares they are comfy shorts after all! Well I’m so glad they were a little baggy as they still fit and seeing as we still have some wiggle room I’m fairly positive that his size 2 comfy shorts will last him through the entire year and possibly even into next year. I have never, and I mean never, had a piece of clothing in Connor’s wardrobe last so long, not even hats. So this year Nina and Tom sent him a new Numbers pair and we were beside ourselves, not to mention they look great with our I’m This Many tee!
Which your over at Nina and Tom check out their entire line of organic children’s clothing as well. We have the I Eat My Vegetables tee which is getting a little snug but has been a constant favorite all last year. Yes Connor does love his vegetables and who knows maybe the shirt had something to do with it! Heh.
I’m looking forward to the new year and our new 2 shirt. I wonder what sort of adventures he will have while wearing Nina and Tom this year. If you remember last year our video of Connor taking his very first steps was filmed while he was wearing his I Eat My Vegetables tee!!
Check out all the Nina and Tom goodness. I promise you’ll have to have at least one of their designs!
Nina and Tom has been gracious to give away a $25 gift certificate to one lucky winner!

Who said only geeks wear ties?
Though I keep telling Karen over at the Rocking Pony that she needs to send Connor a pony for review she keeps insisting on sending us adorable shirts instead. *ahem*. Heh, seriously enough if it came down to it and I had to choose a favorite design from the Rocking Pony etsy shop it would be nearly impossible. Her tee shirt designs, especially, are exactly the sort of thing we look for in a great product. Unusual, fun, well made, and most importantly really and truely made with love. Connor got a Croc tee to review awhile back and I cannot help to admire it hanging in the closet. It looks a bit like a mini art quilt than a shirt and let me tell you it turns heads. So when Karen signed up to be included in our birthday event this year I was really honored.
Karen suggested we get a birthday tee for the event but I already had my heart completely set on a tee that I have been wanting for some time and she was more than happy to help us. The monster tee and the business as usual tee has been calling our names for some time so imagine my glee when the business as usual tee arrived in our mailbox. Connor is getting to that age now where getting him to wear well pressed shirts for a formal event is not only nearly impossible as it is pointless as even if you do convince him to wear it the odds are he will have it dirty before you even step out the door. Rocking Pony's business as usual tee conbined the comfortable feel of a tee shirt with the look of a dress shirt. Actually half the reason we love it so much is the fact that it is really sort of rocker to wear a tie with a tee shirt much less a tie sewn into a tee shirt. I can not even tell you how rediculously cute this tee looks with a pair of jeans or even just running around the house with a pull up. I keep waiting for Connor to pull out a briefcase and a cell phone and run out the door.
What really surprised me is the fact that the "tie" is a real tie. Cut and sewn very securely to the shirt. Connor really likes just running his fingers down the tie as its a totally diffrent texture than the rest of the shirt. All the little details really is what makes Rocking Pony so unusual and special. I can also tell you from experience and washing our Croc shirt that all of the sewn on aspects of the Rocking Pony shirts are very well sewn around the edges so no fear that it will unravel if you wash it at all. Actually as dirty as Connor gets if it didn't hold up well in the wash it would be a lost cause, and I'm glad to say that our Rocking Pony shirts have held up to all the damage they have taken around here with no problems.
Visit Rocking Pony's Etsy store to learn more and to buy your own tees! Rocking Pony has been generous enough to allow one lucky winner to choose a teeshirt from their collection!

Santa's little helper!
It's just not felt like the holiday season up till now. I've been in the midst of finals, sicker than I've ever been in my life, and though all I've been talking about with you guys lately up till this weekend it really had not set in that this is really Connor's second birthday. So over the weekend we set up the Christmas tree, wrapped some presents, and today we did the thing that always gets me in the mood. We went and saw Santa! I was so nervous as last year taking Connor to see Santa as all I've ever heard was about babies crying when they see Santa but lets just say all he could do was laugh and coo over the man with the big white beard. In the last two months Connor has just starting to show signs of being scared of strangers so again I was concerned but needless to say from the picture he was more than happy to ham it up with Santa.
See that adorable outfit he is wearing his his Santa picture? I had been looking for months for just the right thing for him to wear to see Santa and I wanted something adorable but I always hate investing in clothes that can only be used once or twice. So when I saw the Christmas outfits over at Happy Green Bee I knew I had the perfect outfit. First of all Happy Green Bee knit tees are one of my favorite basic kids tees. They are made from super soft organic cotton, as all of the Happy Green Bee items are and are available in stripes or solid colors but I've found the solid color tees are a great item in any kids wardrobe as they work with pretty much any outfit and are nice enough that they look really dressy if matched with a nice pair of pants. Match them up with a pair of the Happy Green Bee leggings or a skirt and you have something really unique.
Connors new Happy Green Bee outfit is perfect for Christmas. I thought the lady at the Santa booth was going to flip as you have to admit he looks a lot like a little elf in it. It's comfortable enough that he can just wear it around the house or even to bed but it looks great enough that everyone in the mall could not take their eyes off my little guy. Though the radish and bean striped items (red and green) in the Happy Green Bee collection do not have to be used for just Christmas they would be perfect for all of your holiday functions. Mix and match them any way you wish to create just the right outfit!
Head on over to Happy Green Bee and check out all of their items including the new sportswear line. It may still be a little early to think about warm weather items but those board shorts are awfully cute!

Wanna make your own Christmas shirt?
Looking for the perfect gift for the kid that has everything? Want something custom for your holiday photos? Just want to try your own hand at designing a tshirt all your own?
Simply Colors offers parents a whole new option in children's clothing.. you can make your own! This is not just one of those sites where you add a name to a premade shirt. Every aspect of the Simply Colors shirt is customizable.. hence the name. You pick the type and color of shirt you want to design and then everything else is up to you. Choose a phrase, choose the font, choose to have the shirt one sided or two, even add a graphic if you'd like, and if that's not enough you can even choose what color your design is printed with from glow in the dark to primary colors to even glitter! You heard me right.. glitter.
I designed a custom shirt just for Connor, we did it in October but we were a little late for Halloween so I couldn't resist getting a Halloween theme going with a black shirt and glow in the dark print but who said spiders are just for Halloween? He will be wearing his new shirt all next fall and I can't wait. Though truthfully I could get addicted to making him new shirts each season as there is just something about having a custom tshirt all his own. He could have a Christmas tee, a birthday tee, something for summer, Halloween, thanksgiving, or just when we want something special for whatever reason we can think of! Though there are tons of great illustrations to choose from including holiday themed illustrations you can choose to use them or just have your shirt printed in text so if you have a special announcement or just a cute quote you want to use that's totally ok.
Wanna try your hand at being a designer? Go check out Simply Colors and just play around with their creator, you can make tees, hoodies, dresses, polo shirts, even hats!! Believe me you will find yourself wanting to order one of everything!
Simply Colors is currently running a sale on big brother and big sister tee shirts go check them out!

Rock star attire for the smallest rockers!
Your child will stop traffic dressed in a onesie or tshirt from Oolalamama! Seriously any infant gone rocker will love to own one of their stunning tshirts which could pass as easily for art as they could a piece of clothing.
Oolalamama's clothing reminds me a bit of a piece of mixed media art, a mixture of graphics, tie dye, bits and pieces of words, random dye patterns, and even some colors appear spray painted on almost resembling graffiti or even a tattoo. I honestly have no idea how they do it, it's certainly not painted on and I've washed our tee several times with no bleeding. Either way they look amazing and its not exactly the sort of thing you will find six other kids walking around in at a playdate.
From onesies to dresses to tshirts your bound to find the size and style that is uniquely you. From rockstars, to bikers, to princess inspired dresses with butterflies the prints are varied and each one more colorful than the next. So much so you will actually feel guilty for covering up the onesies with pants (I highly suggest you invest in leggings) as there is so much going on with the prints you wont want to cover up a single inch. For once someone might actually say to you.. "wow that onesie is amazing" instead of "ohh look at the cute baby" heh. Ok maybe not, but if you had problems keeping people away from your infant or toddler before Ohlalamama you might as well put a big flashing light on them that says : Look how cool I am!
Get ready for some jealous mamas at the next play date or on the first day of preschool! I know I would be if somoene walked in one of those awesome tees. With sizes from newborn to a size 6 older siblings can get into the fun as well. I guaranttee your kid will be voted coolest kid if they show up to the first day of kindergarden in the Let It Rock tee!!
I have two Oolalamama tees to give away to my readers. A 0-3 month onesie and a 24 month tee!

There is a hole in that sweater!!

Who knew.. but having a holey sweater is now fashionable! Seriously, I'm not joking. If you haven't seen the sweaters over at TheWholeThing you really must head on over and check it out. The thing i dread most about my sweaters she does intentionally.. and you know.. its really quite cute..
However it's not the holey sweaters that got my attention, its what she does with the holes that are left over. The first time I came across her caterpillar tshirts I was in love. Made from eight little round holes left over from the sweaters, it makes for a perfect little felted caterpillar. The Tshirts over at TheWholeThing are fabulous, felted rabbits, hearts, an awesome little fish, and of course the caterpillar.
If your looking for something super unusual though check out the felted hole covered hats. The little gnome looking stripped hat she has listed at the moment is my favorite. I can totally see Connor wearing it all winter.
Recycled sweaters are eco-friendly as well! Head on over to TheWholeThing and check out some great unusual items from a WAHM. You can check out TheWholeThing blog as well.

School for Connor? Oh please no.. not yet.
I was just talking to my friend Stacy today and she reminded me of the great tshirts over at Veri Meri. Her daughter just started kindergarten and she is dealing with the mommy blues I think every mom gets when their kids are off for school. Personally I am not even joking you I am dreading the day and already counting the days. Not that I don't love watching Connor grow but school marks a very important milestone its a child's first real form of Independence from their parents even if it is for just a few hours a day. *sob* I'm going to cry just thinking about it.
Well no fear when I am ready for my little man to go off to kindergarten we will be ready. Veri Meri offers some great shirts for the toddler through adults! One big concern with every parent as their child starts school is bullies. It seems we all experience it at some point, but in Kindergarten? Sadly yes it happens and I remember seeing the great Be Buddies tshirt over at Veri Meri. Kind of the kid friendly version of "Make Love Not War" heh.
Personally I am not ready for the thought of preschool or *gasp* kindergarten and for now I am only interested in focusing on the cool museum trip I have planned for tomorrow and planning for his eventual camping adventure to Space Camp, the coolest summer camp ever within driving distance from us. Yes I know it seems odd that I am excited about Space Camp but not kindergarten, but Space Camp is pretty darn cool. In honor of our summer camp dreams my favorite tshirt of all at Very Meri? Blast off of course!
You can get your own Veri Meri tshirts over at their website! Maybe I should get myself a No Homework tee to try to protest all this anatomy homework I keep coming home with from college. heh.

The coolest thing ever!!

I rarely get super dooper excited when it comes to belts but my poor little man has not been able to properly wear a pair of pants or shorts since the day he was born. He is on the short side but his body build is just like his fathers. Wide across the chest and shoulders, super skinny waist, and sadly shorter legs like I have. Needless to say its impossible to find pants or shorts to fit him as baby sizes do not come in, skinny. Nor do infant clothes come with an adjustable waist or are belts really practical under the age of four.
My mom has tried several times to take up Connor's pants and that never works out that well and I hate to ruin ins good clothes encase we need them for later or want to hand them down. So I've just opted to put him in smaller sizes, elastic wastes, or just rompers up till now. As he creeps closer to the two year mark its just getting harder and harder to get away with no pants and rompers are hard to find in the 24m size range. So when I found Dapper Snappers I almost had a heart attack its so brilliant and so simple I cant even believe I never thought of something like it for Connor's clothes.
Dapper Snappers are a belt alternative as belts are just not practical for younger children and toddlers as it makes diaper changing more difficult and potty training nearly impossible. Dapper Snappers are basically a long piece of elastic with snaps attached which you adjust by snapping the Dapper Snapper on in diffrent locations. Basically to break it down, you thread the Dapper Snapper through the back half of the pants the same way you would a belt then fold over the ends after you get it through the belt loops and pull the pants as tight as you want them then just snap the dapper snapper back together and the pants are tightened but unlike a belt the Dapper Snapper is elastic so its not uncomfortable or restricting to those super active little ones.
Dapper Snappers are one size fits all so you only need to buy one set though I do recommend you purchase at least two as you will find that you don't always want to have to take them off of the pants you use most often. I have two and I'd really like to have at least one more as I prefer to leave the Dapper Snapper in place until its time to wash the pants. You do not need to remove it to take the pants on and off and its just easier to have several. They also come in girls and boy colors so you can get a Dapper Snapper that looks good with whatever color clothing you have though as most of the time shirts cover the top half of children's pants you really wont see the Dapper Snapper that often so if you have multiple kids I would go with a navy blue and beige but I do have to admit I would really love to have a green and orange one myself! Currently I just have the navy blue.
Dapper Snappers are available directly from their website as well they provided us with a coupon for buy two Dapper Snappers get the third one free!! Use code : 7dbpantsup Shipping is free!
Two lucky winners will get their own set of Dapper Snappers (in either boy or girl) to try out on their own!

Who dressed you?
Who ever said that everything needs to match?
I actually first saw a pair of Little Missmatched socks in a display at a children's boutique. I thought to myself "Aww how adorable they mixed up the socks to get people's attention!". Well the socks were not exactly mixed up but they were what I know now as a pair of the toddler Little Missmatched socks.
Little Missmatched socks are sold in a way that will make you happy to put away socks on laundry day. They come in "singles" ie.. you buy them in packs of three or even nine single socks, meaning quite frankly none of them match, hince the name people. They do however coordinate very well together and any combination will look great. No need to worry about loosing a sock or tryinig to match your socks, just throw them in the drawer and go. The only thing you may actually agonize over is which two socks to use on any given day as they are all stinkin adorable.
All of Little Missmatched's gear are based on their fun color wheel. You can use the formula to match socks or just create your own. It goes from fabulous (monochromatic), Kooky (complementary), Marvelous (colors that are near each other on the color wheel) and of course my absolute favorite Zany (which is a little bit of everything). I am a huge fan of everything that they offer in the Black Zany color combo! I would LOVE to have one of the Black Zany Onesies for Connor, but sadly he has outgrown them.. maybe I'll get him the PJs for fall.
If your really looking for that perfect gift that will really make you stand out in the crowd at a child's party. Check out the KnitWits from Little Missmatched. KnitWits are a totally unique sock creature that makes you wonder.. what exactly are these things? Made from fun colored Little Missmatched socks, they are really unique sock, um animals? Sock monkeys have nothing on the KnitWit and they are a great conversation starter. Connor drags his Whippitywit around the house by the tail, and its a favorite among our house guests as they love to try to guess what exactly Whippitywit is supposed to be.
School will be starting before we know it.. and I'm not really all that happy about it. Going to college year round has its ups and downs as it really seems as if I am never done. Little Missmatched's selection of school supplies should cheer your kids up though. I could use a little back to school cheer myself. This coming semester is the first one I have really dreaded, I think its just the lack of vacation. Though I'm positive one of those brightly colored bags would cheer almost anyone up!

Is that a bird? A plane? Oh no its just Connor!
Is that a bird.. a plane.. no its Connor in his Little Capers shirt!!
Talk about genius when it comes to children's clothing design. Recently we were vising our cousin Andrew at his birthday party and Connor's cousin, Jackson was wearing a Mr Incredibles costume throughout the entire party. It was cute, but it looked so incredibly hot, I couldn't help to think he would have been just as happy in a Little Caper's shirt instead of that bulky costume.
Little Capers makes super hero t shirts that have velcro on capes. You can wear the t shirt with or without the cape and there is no reason to run around in that itchy Halloween costume when you can be just as cool as well as comfortable!
Little Capers are not just for boys.. they come in a huge selection from my personal favorite the Red Star Hero to a Pink Heart Hero for girls. Who ever said that girls can't be super heroes, heh buddy I feel like a Super Hero every day after chasing a toddler around 12+ hours a day. I must save him from eating or doing something that could cause him harm at least five or six times a day at least. If thats not a super hero power what is?
For the littlest super heros make sure you check out their Little Heroes line as well. They come without capes so they are infant safe!
Little Capers are available directly on their website or you can check out their store locater!

Recycled Cotton.. who knew it would make a fabulous blanket?
I was randomly introduced to Twirls and Twigs and immediately I wad drawn to their recycled cotton blankets. What exactly is recycled cotton you ask? Well if you have ever been around someone that sews you will find that there are large amounts of fabric left over well the same thing is true when you produce a piece of clothing you end up with bits and pieces and usually those pieces end up in the landfills but in this case it is rewoven into a wonderfully thick and soft fabric that makes for some gorgeous baby blankets.
The Twirls and Twigs Lovebirds blanket came t
o me in a thick orange recycled cotton with a blue wavy trim and two beautiful appliquéd birds on the front. All of the appliqués and that wonderful blue wavy trim are made from designer leftovers as well. Even the tag comes in the form of recycled paper with a cute little seed tree which you can plant and grow! I think other than the thread used to sew it all together thats pretty much 100% recycled manufacturing. And on top of it.. it looks great and would make for an exceptional stroller blanket or even a crib quilt! I keep ours handy in the living room we use ours as a nap time blanket as welll as a great blanket to sit on while we play on the floor or even in the front yard.
Its really sturdy so I don't worry so much about getting an accidental hole in it or having to wash it more often.
Along with their great blankets Twirls and Twigs offers a line of 100% organic cotton onsies and tshirts. I am absolutely in love with the little mushroom shirt as well as the the little blue dino onesie. The tshirts are super soft and brightly colored and all of the dyes are water based and eco friendly.. which I find that people always associate organic with that unbleached cotton look and it just does not have to be that way!
The real highlight of Twirls and Twigs designs is the absolutely gorgeous collection for girls. All of the pieces are made of bamboo, organic cottons, designer fabric leftovers, and left over laces. So those items that are not recycled in nature are organic. No one would even venture to guess that gorgeous little skirt to the left is organic and what little girl would not die to have a twirly looking skirt like that? If they made it in my size I'd wear it as well!
Connor got kind of a neat surprise, though its not shown in their storefront he has been carrying around his own little bird plush that matches his blanket for about a week now. Its made of the same beautiful organic fabric as his blanket and its absolutely adorable. I'll try to get a picture of him with it soon, and if you want one send Twirls and Twigs an email!
Twirls and Twigs collection can be found at their website and you can purchase all of the items directly in their storefront. Use the coupon code dogs7 to get an extra 10% off your purchase!
Twirls and Twigs sent over an extra Lovebirds blanket to give away to one of our readers!

Say Hello to Booda Bellie!
Its no secret that I love organic clothing, and even less of a secret that I'm in love with Bamboo fabrics. With that said, its also very hard to find organic children's clothing, especially in bamboo, and even harder to find organic bamboo clothing thats really adorable.
I was introduced to Booda Bellie through a totally random search, call it fate.. and as an especially young company their designs are really at the top of the casual children's clothing genre when it comes to organic and bamboo tees! They offer both their signature monkey logo on an assortment of onesies, kimonos, and tees in both organic and bamboo as well as truely what I consider the gem of their collection these great graphic tees for kids. I am in love with the T Rex Bamboo Tee but they are all equally as adorable.
Though the best part is the tees themselves as well as all of the screening is done in Canada.. no made in china.. no outsourcing to who knows where. The tees are made of 100% certified organic unbleached cotton and all of the dyes are low impact and environmentally friendly. Thats something you can get excited about!
If you have yet to try anything organic out, this would be a good place for you to start. Booda Bellie Tees are very reasonably priced and Bamboo fabrics are some of the softest you will ever touch. They remind me a bit of a very very silky jersey knit. Booda Bellie's bamboo tees are made of 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton. You really must check out there designs!
I have a really adorable Booda Bellie tee to give away in a size small!

Customizable clothing for the mod toddler set!
Little Uni makes the most delicious little customized tees for babies and toddlers. The designs are simple with a modern edge and are equally at home for going out on the town or just lounging around the house. There is just something really stunning about her cotton appliquéd animals and shapes on just a plain cotton background. Each of the appliqués are done with the most gorgeous patterned fabrics, from striped motorcycles to blueberry dogs you will find something that will fit any child's personality or for any ocassion. Pair the stunning little tops with a pair of cotton pants with just a tiny square of the pattern on the appliqué on the shirt, and you have something that will turn heads.
You can choose from one of their premade designs in an almost endless variety of animals and colors, but if you want something really special its really worth it to go with a personalized tee or onesie. I got Connor a baby blue tee with the little blue and green elephant with his name in a chocolate brown. That little tee paired with a pair of the chocolate brown pants with a little matching square to his elephant is really quite stunning. It looks great and most importantly he will be comfortable all day. Hmm.. where exactly do I find an outfit that looks this great for me thats even close to as comfortable?
I know with all appliqués I always worry a bit about fraying, I can assure you that Little Uni's designs are well treated for frays as well as the edges are perfectly stitched, I'm really quite jealous I know I personally cannot stitch that strait!
If your looking for something really special for a baby shower or first birthday there is really nothing that makes a new mom or birthday boy or girl to have something made just for them. I'm positive you will be the envy of all the other gift givers when they open up their customized tee with the child's name or nickname on it. Or how about a first birthday tee?
Now if they would just make them in my size!

Oooo little man you are looking so fierce..
I knew it was finally time for Connor's first hat when I caught him stealing his grandfather's bass fishing hat. Nothing against my dad, I love him to pieces, but a baseball hat with a big fish on it just won't do. Connor is just too cool for that sort of thing and we needed to find something that would fit his little rock star persona.. he is famous after all. heh. Well sort of.. He did get recognized ironically at my eye doctor's office of all places. (Talk about awkward..)
I'm sorry sports fans but I am just not one to put a "team" hat on my son either. I've never watched a baseball game in my life.. or any sport game for that matter except for the rare occasion where I was actually trying to impress a guy and not to give away my age but that was so long ago I barely even remember it myself. Have you actually tried to find a baseball hat for a toddler that does not either have a team logo on it, or of course have a HUGE brand logo on it? Go try.. I looked for WEEKS.. nothing.. nada.. zip.
Little Fit hats are the exact thing I had been searching for, they carry an assortment of diffrent hats all styled to perfectly fit little people, and though some of their hats do say Little Fit on them its nicely styled into the design on the hat and not just in your face right on the front. With everything from just plain solid colored hats to the awesome AB/CD and Skull and Bones hats Connor wears you are sure to find something you will just love. And yes you could match those solid colored hats to your favorite team jersey if you just feel the need.
Little Fit is going to give one of our readers their own hat in their choice of styles and colors. I promise I wont hold it against you if you choose the All American Blue.
To enter :
- Leave a comment on this post. Head on over to Little Fit and check out the entire collection. Tell me if you won which hat and size would you want. Please be careful as the size/hat you choose will be the one you get if you win (pending if its instock!).
