The coolest thing ever!!

I rarely get super dooper excited when it comes to belts but my poor little man has not been able to properly wear a pair of pants or shorts since the day he was born. He is on the short side but his body build is just like his fathers. Wide across the chest and shoulders, super skinny waist, and sadly shorter legs like I have. Needless to say its impossible to find pants or shorts to fit him as baby sizes do not come in, skinny. Nor do infant clothes come with an adjustable waist or are belts really practical under the age of four.

My mom has tried several times to take up Connor's pants and that never works out that well and I hate to ruin ins good clothes encase we need them for later or want to hand them down. So I've just opted to put him in smaller sizes, elastic wastes, or just rompers up till now. As he creeps closer to the two year mark its just getting harder and harder to get away with no pants and rompers are hard to find in the 24m size range. So when I found Dapper Snappers I almost had a heart attack its so brilliant and so simple I cant even believe I never thought of something like it for Connor's clothes.

Dapper Snappers are a belt alternative as belts are just not practical for younger children and toddlers as it makes diaper changing more difficult and potty training nearly impossible. Dapper Snappers are basically a long piece of elastic with snaps attached which you adjust by snapping the Dapper Snapper on in diffrent locations. Basically to break it down, you thread the Dapper Snapper through the back half of the pants the same way you would a belt then fold over the ends after you get it through the belt loops and pull the pants as tight as you want them then just snap the dapper snapper back together and the pants are tightened but unlike a belt the Dapper Snapper is elastic so its not uncomfortable or restricting to those super active little ones.

Dapper Snappers are one size fits all so you only need to buy one set though I do recommend you purchase at least two as you will find that you don't always want to have to take them off of the pants you use most often. I have two and I'd really like to have at least one more as I prefer to leave the Dapper Snapper in place until its time to wash the pants. You do not need to remove it to take the pants on and off and its just easier to have several. They also come in girls and boy colors so you can get a Dapper Snapper that looks good with whatever color clothing you have though as most of the time shirts cover the top half of children's pants you really wont see the Dapper Snapper that often so if you have multiple kids I would go with a navy blue and beige but I do have to admit I would really love to have a green and orange one myself! Currently I just have the navy blue.

Dapper Snappers are available directly from their website as well they provided us with a coupon for buy two Dapper Snappers get the third one free!! Use code : 7dbpantsup Shipping is free!

Ok, these look really cool. My son could use those, but only because he is such a chunky monkey and I have to buy bigger sizes and his pants fall down alot. LOL

WOW! These ARE the coolest things ever! I like the navy, but hey, I'd just get a three-pack. My son is a slender chap too, and I can't get any of his pants to stay up. Same problem as you. I'm bookmarking this site so I can go back and get me that three-pack. Thanks for another fabulous giveaway!

I'm not sure if they're long enough to work for my older skinny minnie, but if not I know plenty of folks that I can pass them to.

All that is to say, enter me in the contest, please!

We'd like the navy blue if we win.

Thanks!

I'd love to have the Hot Pink for my little lady. How I wish these were around for my son! He's 8, and wears an 8 around the waist, but needs a 12 for the length! I'm afraid Pea will be the same way. Already, pants are way to big!! I guess that is what happens when your daddy is 6'8"!

I'd like to get this in black. I'd want to win it for my little boy. He is 2 years old and very long legged so I frequently have the problem of pants fitting him around well around the waist but being too short, so I have to get larger sizes where they are alright length wise but then too big around the waist. These might solve my problem! Thanks.

These are so awesome! I just went and ordered some. :) We have a four year old boy who is so skinny and none of his pants fit him. We try to buy really long 3T's and those are still too baggy for him. This is a relief, because I was wondering what his teachers were going to say at preschool about his droopy pants.

The girls pack (hot pink, beige, navy) would be great for my nieces.

Jamie's Precious Peas said...

I would definitely choose pink - and use it for my girlie girl when she starts potty training.

This is great. My son needs these badly. I like the Beige (for Boys).

what a great concept!! My little guy is plenty round in the belly, yet some of his pants seem to still fall down. I just don't get it! But this product looks great - I would love the beige color for him.

My skinny little daughter could definitely put these to use! We've had such a hard time comfortably getting her pants to stay up. We've tried regular belts but they pinch her tummy. These are great and we would love the hot pink. Great find!

These look like a really good idea! I'd like to try one for my daughter in hot pink or navy blue. Her pants are always falling down, and she is just starting to potty train.

I like the tan one -- or the boys colors in general, I would need these for my daughter, but most of her pants are navy/tan and black anyway!

Anonymous said...

i would pick the navy so it would blend in with my daughters jeans. she has such a skinny waist and we usually get her jeans handed down or yard sales; they rarely have the adjustable bands in them, so this would be perfect!

This really is one of those things that makes you wonder why you didn't think of it. My daughter could REALLY use these. At her 15 month well check she was in the 80th percentile for height and less than 5th for weight. We've been find during the summer because she can wear 6 and 9 month shorts that fit her in the waist, and it doesn't matter much how short they are. But long pants in the winter will be a different story. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed. If I had to pick just one color I'd go with navy, to wear with jeans.

I would get the beige for my son. He wears mostly cloth diapers right now, but when he is in disposable, his pants tend to fall down. I'll really need these once he is potty trained!

I really like the beige for either of my little ones. They must be a little on the thin side, because their pants always seem to slide down. (They sure didn't get that from their parents!)

I need these - in the navy please. I'm always buying the jeans with the internal adjustable waist, and then my son moans because the buttons dig in his little belly.

I can't make him wear a belt because he has enough trouble getting to the potty on time and a belt would be a set back.

thanks

I would choose beige please for a boy or girl, I have a boy and he is always running around holding the back of his pants. - i'm a terrible mon, I'm laughing as I write this.

OMG what an amazing product. My little guy has the lenght to go with his age size, but not the waist. I have had to pay quite a bit more for his clothes in order to get brands with adjustable waist and even that is still sometimes too big. I would love to have this in brown.

I'd like the beige or navy.

I have two of the tallest/skinniest kids ever, so this is a really great idea for us!

My boy has always been in the 95th percentile for height, but in about the 5th percentile for weight. I usually put baby shorts on his toddler butt! Just to keep them up!

I could use one of these for my daughter! A lot of her jeans are a little too loose and it's hard finding belts that will fit toddlers. I'd like the black because it's a good color that would go with a lot of different color jeans.
