Perfect variety for those long car trips!

Hello everyone! Angela has graciously asked me to fill in for her, while she is on her "grown-up" vacation to the happiest place on earth... Can't wait to hear what she has to report when she gets back so check back often!

Well, I've had a few perfect DVDs come my way as I have a 2 1/2 year old boy. I'm going to spend this week sharing some good ones with you. This summer we plan quite a few long trips down the Jersey Shore, and Here Comes Spring is one of those great DVDs for road trips because it has a little bit of everything, like you are watching a full hour of Sprout or something. Also, we are not big Barney fans, but I have to say, this DVD is very tolerable, as the music and stories are uplifting, educational, and absolutely perfect if your kids have a taste for a little bit of everything, when it comes to children's programing.

"Here Comes Spring" features a colorful collection of six cheery, spring-themed episodes starring favorite preschool characters, Barney, Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends and Fifi™ as they celebrate during this special time of year.

In "Thomas Sets Sail," Thomas is asked to collect the mayor's new sailboat and deliver it to the harbor. But strong winds send the affable engine on a wild and disastrous ride around the island.
In "The Big Garden," Barney teaches his friends how to grow fruits and vegetables in a garden.
In "Flowertot Rainbow," Fifi's plan to wow Violet with a colorful display that goes awry when she forgets to water her flowers. I'd never seen Fifi before this vid, and I will say my daughter likes this one. In "Roley's Flat Garden," Mr. Bentley is designing a new botanical garden. There is also an episode of "Fireman Sam" and "Kipper" we had never seen before.

So if you are looking to build a collection of toddler friendly entertainment, especially if you plan long trips this Summer where your non stop, on the go toddler will be confined to a car or plane for a while, This is the one for you.
