The bears are back!

Mama, Papa, Brother, and Sister Bear were a favorite childhood read for both Connor's daddy and myself. We actually inherited some of his dad's Berenstain Bears books and though Connor still has trouble sitting still through a whole book he's loving the dvd series based on the books. Actually as a kid I had many of the books but most of the memories I have are of the tv series which has been reborn through these dvd releases!

If your worried about the messages that tv is sending to your kids or the content of programming the Berenstain Bears has always been reliable at not only entertaining your little ones but also delivering a message you want your kids ot hear. The newest Berenstain Bears : Springtime Surprises dvd is out just in time for Easter and its message is all about telling the truth. This dvd includes four episodes the first of which is easter themed. Boss Bunny has pretty much become the Easter scrouge and decides to "quit" doing Easter. This leaves Papa Bear in charge of Easter and he attempts to make an "easter egg machine" which is a total disaster. Bear family is left to attempt to get Boss Bunny back in the Easter spirit! This was originally its own prime time Easter special which seems to be fairly unusual as Easter is not one of those holidays you expect a ton of cartoon specials.

The episodes included on the dvd are : Easter Surprise, Play Ball, Save The Bees, and of course And The Truth (all about the importance of honesty!).

The Berenstain Bears : Springtime Surprises
is available right now on DVD and would make for a great basket stuffer! You can pick up your copy on Amazon!

I have three copies of The Berenstain Bears : Springtime Surprises to give away to my readers!

I didn't even know the Berenstain Bears were available when I was growing up in the 70's. If they were, I don't recall seeing them in the stores. But my three kids have one of their DVDs and they really enjoy it, so I know that they would love this one as well.
