There is only one thing that makes a horror movie better...

3D movies seem to be all the rage these days.. and I can't help myself after seeing Coraline in 3D not long ago I've been all reved up about it as well. Though when I think of 3D movies the first movie that comes to mind is horror movies and most of all Jason. After all Friday The 13th Part 3 3D was the first movie that Jason really becomes the Jason we all know and have nightmares about. Its also the first Friday The 13th movie is made for 3D, that's a pretty deadly combo.

The first two Friday the 13th movies are good and important builders for the series as in the first movie you learn about what happens to Jason and the rage his mother has. The second movie you really see what Jason looks like which is a rarity as the series goes on. For the first time Jason seems completely invincible and his murdering rampages seem to have no stop. Not to mention that mask I don't think is never as creepy as the first time he puts it on. For everyone who has ever loved Friday the 13th movies I'd venture to guess that almost all of them would name part three as the movie that got the hooked.

The 3D aspect of Friday The 13th Part 3 3D is really cool though it takes a bit of work fiddling. There are two Jason themed glasses included with the movie but if you really want to watch the movie with your friends your going to need to get a few more pairs. Luckily with 3D movies becoming so popular as of late they are not that hard to come by. Though I wouldn't totally consider the 3D the best I've ever seen it does add something to the movie and its certainly a neat touch. If your not one for 3D movies then you'll be glad to know that the standard version of the movie is included on the dvd as well. The only problem with that is because both versions of the movie are included that pretty much means there are no special features.

Friday The 13th Part 3 3D is available right now on DVD and you can pick up your copy on Amazon!

I liked the nightmare on elmstreet that was in 3d. What was that one, Freddy dies or something? Yeah, I liked it because it had these stupid cues for you to put your glasses on, but if you wore them for any long length of time, you got a horrible headache. I kinda enjoyed how schlocky that was

My favorite 3D movie is definetely Freddy's Dead:The Final Nightmare, as it only has 3-D for 15 minutes of the film (in the ending). It tries its best not to come off as a cheesy effect, and I can really respect that.
