Its Halloween in September!!

Ooooooo Halloween is coming.. oh.. eek.. I better get my butt in gear. Halloween is a HUGE event in this household even in many ways bigger than Christmas. The entire house is decorated, we host a haunted house night every Halloween night that actually ends up scaring most of the poor participants so bad that's its rare people make it out of my front yard with their candy. Connor is actually one of the few kids I know that thinks getting "scared" is hilarious. The poor child never had a chance.

The Halloween Spooktacular from HIT Entertainment isn't so much scary as it is just good fall fun. Follow all your favorite HIT characters as they celebrate the changing of the seasons and my own personal favorite holiday including Barney, Bob, Angelina, Fireman Sam, Thomas, and even a bonus appearance from Kipper and Fifi and the Flowertots!

Personally my favorite episode from The Halloween Spooktacular is the Thomas episode. There are rumors of a engine that just disappears into the fog. The looks of fear on Thomas's face when he thinks he has seen a ghost is worth the entire DVD. In the end it turns out to be a bad prank but its actually kinda creepy for a few minutes there (at least for a little kids show) Connor even came and sat on my lap.

All in all The Halloween Spooktacular is toddler friendly and is just plain good fun. Fireman Sam even gets in a fire safety episode which is a good prep if you actually use real candles in your Jack-O-Lanterns. Not to mention a good set of skills to learn regardless of the season.

Halloween Spooktacular is available on DVD at Amazon!

I have five copies of Halloween Spooktacular to give away to our readers!

My daughter keeps changing her mind on what she wants to be for Halloween, so she'll either be a character from High School Musical, Hannah Montana, one of the Cheetah Girls or a character from Camp Rock. LOL! She's 6 years old and thinks she a teenager. Thanks for a great giveaway, I would love to see the DVD.

One of my most favorite Halloween memories is when my sister and I had a Halloween party when we were in elementary school. My parents hosted it, of course, and we had about 15-20 kids come. My mom sewed my panda bear costume, my favorite animal at the time, and I remember bobbing for apples. The sad apart about my memories from that party is that I remember having to pee so bad and not being able to get out of my panda bear costume fast enough. Yes, I did pee in my costume at my own Halloween party!!! I was so sad....and embarrassed!!!

Happy Early Halloween!

My kids have not picked their costumes yet. Usually my oldest would pick something odd or grotesque, my middle one something girly and same for my baby. I stopped buying so early (actually my mom buys - it is her annual tradition) because of the endless changing of hearts and dissatisfaction with what they have picked. Now we wait until the last minute and scrounge through the left over costumes. We do not get first dibs but the kids are much more appreciative of what they end up with
