The line "Alvinnn!" is easily the biggest thing I remeber about the Chipmunks. I used to LOVE to scream it, heh. Alvin and his chipmunk friends are back again in huge two dvd set!
You know I hate to admit it but there is something awfully catchy about the chipmunk theme song, after two chipmunk reviews in one month I keep catching myself humming it.
There are a total of 14 episodes on this chipmunk collection. All orginally aired in the 80s you will notice right away that the animation is simular to other things published during that time. You will also notice refrences to pop culture of the time. My two favorite episodes on the dvd was the "Romancing Miss Stone" where Alvin gets a crush on his teacher Mrs Stone who ironcailly ends up dating Dave (The Chipmunks "adopted father"), and the episode "New Improved Simon" where Simon has a simular crush on a girl named Jillian. I have to admit part of my love of those two episodes was the soundtrack. Born to be Wild in New Improved Simon and Sharped Dressed Man in Romancing Miss Stone. Is it just me or does Alvin and the Chipmunks have some of the best music?! Really what was hot at the time!

I could name several musical moments from The Chipmunks that I love. The show was my introduction to a lot of the original songs.
I loved "Material Girl" when Britney was shopping like crazy to fit in with a popular girl clique, leaving Jeanette forgotten.
There's also the fire safety episode where they used "I Need a Hero", the Alvin vs. Eleanore soccer episode with "She's Got Legs", and the bald eagle/DC episode that used "Up Where We Belong".
LoL, needless to say, I was a pretty big fan of the Chipmunks while I was growing up.

Don't know if it is on this but loved when they did the monster mash song and my favorite cartoon with alvin had to be the firefighter one or the snow day episode. They were fun to watch and wouldn't mind playing and having the kids watch something I enjoyed back then-
I remember them singing "Wooly Bully" in the The Chipmunk Adventure.

I don't remember any of the songs on the show, but I remember the Movie songs pretty well. My daughter really likes Wooly Bully! She loves Alvin as she calls Alvin and the Chipmunks, so I am excited for a different movie than the ones we have! I am sick of watching them!
