A little something to bring out the artist in all of us.

Like I need one more distraction on my desk.. lol but seriously this one is a ton of fun. The Ball of Whacks is thirty magnetic blocks that can be arranged any way you see fit to for anything from cool shapes to even an adorable little teddy bear. The Ball of Whacks comes with an manual which describes some of the things you can make for those of us who are creativity challenged.

I personally thought I was fairly creative and dreamed up a little dog pattern I was going to make with my Ball of Whacks. Needless to say my little idea didn't turn out so good and it ended up being something along the lines of a really fat two legged blob.. not at all what I was going for. Though I did make a really neat star and I did successfully spend half of a Saturday afternoon doing it. heh.

Ball of Whacks would be the perfect present for that teenager who has everything, or someone who spends way too many hours trapped in a cubical at work. It a great distraction on a otherwise stressful or boring day and its a good conversation starter for those awkward moments when someone wanders into your office unannounced. Not to mention that perfect little gift for your boss who you have no idea what to buy. Not to mention it will make him/her think your one of those "smart people".

Buy a couple and use them as last minute presents and plan ahead as they would make PERFECT stocking stuffers!

Ball of Whacks is available directly from their website as well as on Amazon!

I have a Ball of Whacks to give away to one lucky reader!

I am not trying to copy, but I also would make a teddy bear since I collect them. I would keep the ball for myself for mind stimulation that I so need!

I would want to make the largest tower I possibly could! This 'game' reminds me of the alias episode where as a child, syndey had to do these spacial relation puzzles and the pieces sort of look like this ball of whacks. Would be too (read: very distracting) fun on an office desk, so I'd love to gift it to my librarian friend. She'd have hours of entertainment. laurachilton {at} hotmail {dot} com

I have no idea what I would create, but I do know who I would give it to... my husband. Besides being a total toy addict, he loves little things like this for his desk at work. He would go crazy for it! jeepcutie82 at msn dot com

I have two science-minded/engineer types in my family, my husband and son, who would love this. I think the first design I would try to make is the starburst pattern from in the video clip.

I'd make a flower! But since I'd probably give it to my teenaged brother, probably he'd make something a bit more "manly".

I love puzzles and games that make me think a little so I'm gonna say that this would be the perfect game for .... me! I'd probably start off by attempting a sunburst and then work my way into something more complex.

What a cool ball. I would probably start out with a basic star and then maybe get a little more creative. I think my brother would get a good kick out of it. Thanks katie_mmartin at yahoo dot com

Kimberly said...

How cool is this!!!!!! I love it. At first I thought maybe it would be too hard (like a Rubics Cube - drives me nuts!) but after watching the video this looks like A LOT of fun! I love the stars they show you can make with it and the teddy bear looks cute too!

At first I thought this would be great for my husband to keep on his desk at work for those times when's he's feeling overly stressed but the more I think about it this would be better for my soon to be 9 year old son who needs help with his fine motor skills. Right now he's in a special ed course that uses tactile learning and maybe something like this would be of great benefit for him.

Thank you for this prize offering and for telling us about this product.

It's hard to say what I would make with my ball if I had a Ball of Whacks, since I've never seen one before...but I know it would get a LOT of use in our house, because it is a perfect game for the Sabbath and we are Sabbath observant--that means no toys that use electricity, batteries, etc. What a perfect toy for our Saturday play! The whole family would definitely be fighting over who would get to use it.
