Sleepytime Stories is a great addition to the bedtime routine.

Most kids want to watch a movie or a tv show before bed but in most cases Its just not the best idea as they get over stimulated then its ten times harder to actually get them to fall asleep.
The new collection of Sleepytime Stories from Nickelodeon is a great compromise. The entire collection run for a whopping 149 minutes with a total of six episodes from Blues Clues, Wonder Pets, Dora, Yo Gabba Gabba and more! We had actually not seen Yo Gabba Gabba yet and seriously.. if you haven't its hillarious!

Though the collection is not all about sleep the Blue's Room and Yo Gabba Gabba episode is.. which happen to be the two last episodes on the DVD. Though I can't find documentation to support this I wonder if its designed that way on purpose as the ordering of the episodes seems to go from most active to most laid back (and sleep oriented). Hm. Either way they are more than entertaining enough to be used for bedtime or just some downtime during the day.

I am seriously taking this DVD with us to Chicago this weekend for the wedding.. I have to show Connor's aunt and uncle this Yo Gabba Gabba episode they will LOVE it, how did I ever not know about Yo Gabba Gabba before now.

Along with the Sleepytime Stories DVD Nickelodeon released a Sleepytime Lullabies CD as well. .. if the DVD is not all about sleep the CD is ALL about sleep. Thirteen songs are included, for the most part all instrumentals no singing, and I'd say defently do not use it in the car as it works so well it will put you both to sleep. I've been listening to it the entire time I've been writing this review and I had to stop twice to get up and move around, right now the last and my favorite tract on the entire cd is on which happens to be one of the few that includes singing "One Magic Kiss" and I am going to make it my mission this week to learn all the words to the song so I can sing it to Connor at bedtime.

I'm not sure I can pick my favorite over the two, That Yo Gabba Gabba "Sleep" episode is enough to keep me watching the Sleepytime Stories DVD over and over but with the week I have been having with Connor's teething we most likely need the CD more, but I just can't bare to part with my newly found Yo Gabba Gabba friend so I am going to offer the CD Sleepytime Lullabies to one lucky reader! Believe me, you will love it.

Both Sleepytime Stories and Sleepytime Lullabies are available on Amazon!

I have to say, my mom told me about Yo Gabba Gabba and sometimes I think I might get a seizure watching them. Unfortunately, they are also addicting. We watch the "Friends" episode over and over.
Well, as for this contest, I would love to have the CD with (They long to be) Close to you. I sing it to my boys all the time and I can never sing the song right.
