Russ Kids Bright Beginnings

I am in love with the Bright Beginnings toys from Russ. I had been looking for a quiet toy that I could take to the wedding with us a few weeks ago that would keep Connor entertained at least long enough for us to at least have enough time to get through one or two courses of the dinner. The problem is most toddler toys make A LOT of noise, and I did not want to subject the dinner guests with honking or mooing throughout all of dinner. When I came across this soft plush play set from Russ I knew that was exactly what we needed! Ok maybe a princess castle isn't exactly boyish but if the castle is not for you the Russ Activity Play sets come in more than just castles, including a train station, vets office, tool box, and even the cutest little purse. The Castle Play set ended up being perfect as once the castle door is closed you cannot see the little plush people inside. Connor had the best time opening and closing the door and taking out all the little guys inside and then putting them back. I love it as though the plush figures do make some noise (squeaking & rattling) its quiet. The castle opens with Velcro at the door and down the middle, allowing for more complex play as your baby grows. All of the Russ Bright Beginnings Activity Sets are good for children 0+ to be used first as rattles, and then more complex play later.

The Russ Bright Beginnings line offers so much more. At some point after age one children start getting interested in how their clothing works and practicing for when they need to dress themselves. The Russ Bright Beginnings Bright Buddies have to be the cutest "dressing" doll ever. Very brightly colored and super soft they make for great snuggle partners as well as offer several dressing activities to practice including zippers, snaps, buttons, Velcro, and tying bows. Though I wish they had buckles as well the Bright Buddies make up for it hug ability. There are several Bright Buddies to choose from including the pig, dog, cat, giraffe, and a cow!

Russ sent over a Duck Giggle Ball to give away to one of my readers. The Giggle Ball is perfect for any child 0+ and features the same super soft material the Bright Buddies are made of, when you squeeze a Giggle Ball it giggles. Its really quite addicting.
