Nickelodeon's The First Day of School on DVD!

Nickelodeon's new dvd The First Day of School features back to school episodes focused on getting your preschooler ready for their first day at school! Connor is already starting to talk about going to school and though he's not quite old enough this dvd really helps get some of those ideas into his head!

Featuring Dora, Diego, Blues Clues, Ni Hao, Kai Lan and our favorite the Wonder Pets there are five school episodes included on this dvd. With a running time of 122 minutes that's over two hours of Nick Jr fun!

We especially love the double feature Wonder Pets episode where the Wonder Pets must help a baby blowfish get over her fear of having to be separated from her family on her first day of school. I have to laugh as I know that's one thing Connor will have NO issues with. He went through two weeks of vacation bible school this summer and barely even looked back to say bye to me when he ran through the doors. The second half of the episode The Wonder Pets help a strange half kangaroo half parrot (its actually a piece of kid's art) who gets thrown in the trash at school.

The other episodes include things like working on taking turns, how to be respectful of others, compromises, and of course the Diego and Dora episodes work on language skills. Overall the dvd is a great way to introduce a few crucial school skills to your preschoolers but it includes many of their favorite characters as well.

Nickelodeon's The First Day Of School is available right now on DVD and you can pick up your copy on Amazon!

Too cute! I think my Paigey would love this DVD. Her birthday is right around the corner so I'll have to remember it when I start my shopping.
