Caddyshack is back on dvd! Even the cover just cracks me up!

If you've never seen Caddyshack at least ten times.. shame on you! Caddyshack is sort of like that yearly Christmas special you end up watching every year. It's just a all time good movie staple that never gets old! Possibly its just the combination of Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murry and Ted Knight that makes this movie so magical as really the plot is almost silly to the point of ridiculousness that only that combo could pull it off and make it something that has held its own for so long!

If you really have never seen Caddyshack where do I begin? Th whole plot is based around an elite country club who's patrons are a little on the wacky side. From a groundskeeper who is obsessed with a really unrealistic gopher who is tearing up the golf course to a judge with an overly obsessive view of how golf should be played. The whole storyline revolves around one of the caddies (Chevy Chase) who is looking to get a scholorship and has to buddy up to the judge. All the rest is the nonsens that goes on around the golf course.

The video quality is really quite impressive compared to the original presentation. They obviously put in some effort to get rid of that graininess that showed up on the original VHS format and the colors seem crisper than even some of the TV presentations I've seen. Keep in mind that 1980s comedy movies were not necessarily known for their amazing video quality it's really nice that they took the extra effort for this release to really clean up the footage. The video quality is decent but not amazing though honestly enough it's not one of those movies that orginally had great sound effects anyways.
