Max and Ruby - A Visit With Grandma - DVD Review!

We've only had the Max and Ruby A Visit with Grandma dvd a little while now and I'm fairly sure I have the entire dvd memorized front to back at this point as Connor has watched it so many times if he could wear a hole in the disc he would have already accomplished that. Actually until we got this dvd I didn't realize just how much Connor really loves the Max and Ruby show!

This dvd is a great for summer as I can remember many summers going and spending a week or two with my own grandparents and the adventures we would have. Included on the dvd is four episodes which actually equals out to 12 mini episodes as each "show" is broken down into short mini episodes which are much easier on preschooler and toddler's attention spans. All in all the run time is 99 minutes which amazingly enough Connor can sit down and watch the entire thing without getting up and running around like a mad man. It's his newest favorite bed time show as he is always allowed to watch one DVD before bed and this one has been the favorite running for quite some time now.

Our favorite episode on the DVD is Grandma's Treasure Hunt as it reminds me a lot of my own grandfather. Grandma sends the kids on a treasure hunt which leads Ruby and Pirate Max all over chasing clues and following Grandma's  treasure map until eventually they end up back and Grandma's house with a surprise waiting on them! Connor is in a current "pirate faze" so he loves the episode as well and it reminds me of my own Grandfather as when I was little we used to make these pretty elaborate treasure maps and bury little treasures.

My favorite thing about Max and Ruby though is the fact that the episodes are all pretty calm. When you have a three year old who is almost climbing the walls as it is the last thing I want is for him to watch something that gets him even more worked up!

Max and Ruby - A Visit with Grandma is available right now on dvd and you can pick up your copy on Amazon!
