Wow Wow Wubbzy!

I've been hearing about Wubbzy from my friends who are avid Nick Jr fans for months. For some reason we've always missed it on tv but I've seen some of the toys and I knew there was something to it.

Wubbzy is a little yellow guy, kinda square, with a long springy sort of crooked looking tail, though he doesn't resemble any sort of animal I've ever seen he is pretty cute. He has a friend named Widget who looks a bit like a pink bunny who can fix anything and a friend named Walden who looks a bit like a purple chipmunk to me that has big thick glasses and is the geek of the group. No matter how different his friends are the Wubbzy gang gets along and always finds ways to work together to meet a common goal. Sounds like a perfect world eh?

Wow Wow Wubbzy - A Little Help From My Friends is out on DVD and finally we got to check it out for ourselves. The eight episodes on the dvd are all about friendship and teamwork. My favorite episode on the DVD A Clean Sweep involves a topic near and dear to my heart, cleaning. It's time to clean the house and Wubbzy would much rather be outside playing with his ball, this story sounds all so familiar as every time I try to convince Connor to clean up his toys it usually ends with him ignoring me while he throws a ball around, not that I'm saying he learned this method of avoiding cleaning from anyone especially me.. heh. The only problem with avoiding cleaning is that eventually things get messy and you start loosing things. Wubbzy learns this the hard way when he looses his ball and hopefully his friends will help him find it!

Helping your friends seems to be the big theme among Wubbzy episodes and what better friends to have than Widget and Walden. I think Wubbzy forgets a times just how lucky he is! The episodes are fun, teach teamwork, and Wubbzy is awfully cute. I think we may just keep him around and we can't wait to see more episodes.
