Swimmi Diapers!

I've got tons of diapers to review this week but this is our only swim diaper on the schedule for the week. Regardless if you plan on cloth diapering or not I think every mom needs a swim diaper in their collection as there is just no need to buy those disposable swim diapers unless your traveling and don't to have to pack a wet diaper.

Swimmi's cloth diapers make taking the baby for a swim not only convenient but affordable. Disposable swim diapers are very for some odd reason very expensive not to mention the fact that in most cases they won't get worn more than 10-30 minutes and they are virtually worthless unless your in the water as they are not meant to be worn as a regular diaper.

Swimmi's are made by Bummis who makes cloth diapers as well. Swimmi's are an all in one product meaning that there is no need to put anything inside the Swimmi to use it. Just put it on and go. Swim diapers do not have the same lining as a standard cloth diaper as really the only thing your trying to keep out of the pool is "poop" so they should not be used as a regular cloth diaper, however when it comes to swimming nothing and I do mean nothing is better than a swim diaper.

Disposables or regular diapers as soon as they get wet get very heavy and even tend to start to "rupture" after being in the water long enough, leaving that yucky diaper gel behind not to mention producing "diaper" sag if the baby gets out of the pool. I actually felt sort of sorry for Connor as we made a recent trip to a local mall which has a play fountain for the kids. We forgot to pack our swim diaper so Connor was forced to run around in a regular diaper and he actually kept falling down as his diaper got soo heavy. We ended up having to end our play session sooner than expected as it wasn't long before his diaper actually started to come off. Seeing as I wasn't really ready to have a totally naked baby running around at the mall I really wish we had our Swimmi a few weeks early. Now if we have any "chance" to go swimming I just pack up our Swimmi and our smallest wet bag and I know we are ready to jump in anytime!

The Swimmi is so form fitting that it fits much more like a regular swimsuit, no fluffy butt, no sag, all fun. Believe me your little person will thank you as anyone who has seen a baby in a water logged diaper will know immediately that they can't be comfortable.

You can learn more about the Swimmi on the Bummi's website and find a place to buy your Swimmi using the store locator!

I have one Swimmi in a size medium to give away to one lucky reader!

I have never used a swim diaper. The one time we went to a pool with the little one, she was really little and we just used cloth. It was pretty funny how once the diaper was removed tons of water spilled out. I think it weighed as much as she did. I bet a swim diaper would work much better and not become a plastic water collecting device. :-)

I love the fact that these have tabs on the sides like regular diapers. I find the pull up swim diapers difficult to adjust...sometimes they are too tight or they are too big, etc. And if you have an poopie one, this would be a lot nicer to clean after than the pull down pants.

What should you put inside the SWIMMI?
Absolutely nothing!

My little one usually only tolerates the water for a few minutes, so I can't stand adding to the landfill with the disposable swim diapers. I'd love to try a Swimmi! They have cute prints, too!

I've used the disposable swim diapers and they are expensive and tough to take off. They stick to the babies and we end up just tearing them off. I would love to try the Swimmi. (I really like the turtle one.) They are practical and cute enough that I wouldn't even need a bathing suit for the little ones!

this would be so perfect for swimming in the summer. I don't like the disposable ones because they're hard to get off after they're wet!

I love cloth diapers, but I've been hesitant to buy reusable swim diapers. I'd love to try one out before I make any purchases. These come in such cute patterns too!

I would love to try this with my little girl. I've used the disposable pull-up swim diapers before but these look a lot like they can be adjusted a lot better.
Thanks for this great giveaway!

I'd like to use a swim diaper because it would make me less nervous. We usually take our baby naked when we go swimming because he usually poops in the morning only. But I'm always nervous that he will poop in the water.

I would like this because I feel that what we are using right now is a waste of money. Also I like that the bindings keep the baby's comfort in mind.
