Knicker Nappies

So have I confused you yet with the huge range of diaper choices out there? I hope not as really its not that confusing it just seems like a ton of information but in the end it really just boils down to you choosing the best diaper for you and your baby.

Lets talk about Snap diapers again. When I started out I was positive that all I would want to use was velcro diapers. Something about the snaps just seemed like they would be hard to adjust, and to my own surprise about a week into my trials I found out that by far I preferred velcro to snaps for several reasons, but the biggest being the fact that snap diapers are actually slightly less bulky and you don't have to worry about folding the velcro down when you wash them.

One of the pluses and negatives about cloth diapers is the "diaper butt" as many cloth diapers are a bit bulkier than their disposable counterparts which when paired with just a tee shirt and a matching diaper believe me when I tell you there is nothing, and I do mean nothing, cuter. However it does sometimes present a small problem when wearing pants as actually the bulk in the front of the diaper tends to sometimes cause pants to fit a little odd. Don't fear though the best way to fix this problem is to either invest in elastic pants or invest in a really great side snapping diaper.
Knicker Nappies is a side snapping diaper which leaves the babies "front" totally flat which means clothes will fit better and it eliminates a good amount of the cloth diaper bulk. Knicker Nappies are actually so trim in fact that I've found that its actually hard to tell if Connor was wearing a disposable or a cloth diaper under even his non elastic pants. Knicker Nappies stands behind their diapers so much that they actually have a one year guarantee on the snaps and elastic in the diaper.

Knicker Nappies is a fitted pocket diaper meaning you will need to buy the size you need which allows it to be much trimmer than some of the other One Size diapers we have reviewed.

Pros :
  • Very trim fit, flat front so no bulky diaper look under pants.
  • 1 year guarantee so no worries about broken snaps or loose elastic.
  • Elastic on both side of the pocket opening so no worries about having to tuck that liner back in around the pocket opening.
Cons :
  • Though there is a ton of color choices no prints are available.
  • Fleece lining does pill slightly over several washings. This seems to be a standard thing with fleece linings.

We use lots of cloth here, but haven't tried any snap ons. I like the melon, in medium please. Buying cloth diapers can get addictive. Every few months I want to try something new. Good thing babies grow.

I absolutely LOVE Knickernappies. I would choose a Large Kelly Green if I won. Also Knickernappies makes an awesome diaper insert. The Loopy-do is great for day time, while the Super-do is a perfect nighttime solution.

I would get a large red if I won. Sam would probably fit better in a medium still, but he is right at the bottom of a large, and going to keep growing!
