I feel like a little girl in a candy store!

Talk about a company I would just love to go and hang out in. Ive drooled over Haba's toys for what seems like ages and up till now never had the luxury to own any myself. It gets to the point where I really have to just tell myself to leave a storefront that sells their toys as I can just get lost looking at all the great colors and don't even get me started on their children's decoration ideas.

Though I did finally get the block set I have been wanting for Connor and let me tell you.. it was totally worth the wait. We have been wanting the Fantasy Blocks for some time now and they are even more beautiful in person than I ever imagined. Unlike just plain wooden blocks the fantasy blocks from Haba truly are a feast for the eyes, and ears. Each block is unique with something new to see every time you pick them up. And unlike just square blocks they come in all sorts of shapes and textures, wood, foil textures, acrylic clear blocks, some jingle, and even one is mirrored. I find myself looking them over every single time we play with them. Connor has unanimously chosen his favorite blocks in the clear resin blocks and actually tries to bring them with us wherever we go.

We also got a Cathedral set which at first I wasn't so sure if they would get as much use with as popular as the Fantasy Blocks have been thus far, but they are the perfect companion. The Cathedral set makes for the perfect little village and we use the Fantasy Blocks to accent the little houses and add stairs and towers to our little Cathedral houses. It really turns out adorable and they make a perfect accent to each other. My only regret at all is we only have two Haba block sets. I really think we need all of them now!

Connor also has a new favorite traveling companion. Haba makes some of the most creative and unusual cloth books I have seen and he has been taking the Haba Little Leaf house with us on our most recent outings. It's half cloth book, half activity book, and part popup book with two great stand alone puppets who can interact with the book itself or even serve as great toys on their own. Every page has something to explore, flip, crinkle and move. I've actually never seen a children's cloth book that quite so many things to explore. My favorite page is the inside cover as there is this mesh netting with these beautiful clear beads that you can move all around. I find myself sitting with it and playing almost as much as Connor does.

I am so excited Haba has given us a beautiful cloth traveling book : Tiny Town to give away to one of our readers. I also have another Haba surprise to give away but we are going to save it as part of our fall giveaways, so keep your eye out for it! While your waiting though go check out all the great toys that Haba offers on their website!

I love the wooden cash register with play money and play coins!

I remember being a little girl and playing "store". I love to just sit and watch their imaginations wander and soar when you give them open ended toys like this.

I love the traveling book. When I pick my girls up from their "grandmas" house every day, I have three cloth books I keep in the car for them to squeeze, etc. They only get to play with them in the car, so it makes it special. I'd love to have this book for those time as well, just to give them something enriching to pass the time!
