I can't even tell you how much this series has affected our life.

I can't tell you how many times we have watched the first DVD in the series of Baby Signing Time. So many times at this point I see it in my sleep... but you know the fact that if I even get the box out of the entertainment center Connor starts to bop and dance is really a testament to how much he loves it.

Connor is still not really talking at 12m... He says Dada, Baba, Doggie, and the occasional other word but no Mama nor is he always consistent with using his words. He does understand a wide range of words, requests, and of course signs. I catch myself sometimes using the signs we have learned in the first video in public when someone is talking to Connor, like I need to translate to him (not that he can't hear or perfectly understand spoken words) but its becoming second nature.

I am so excited with the addition of these books we can not only expand our signing vocabulary but share it more easily with others. Our biggest challenge has been to get Connor's other caretakers on board with using signs... its not that they do not want to help its the fact that not everyone who cares for Connor has time to sit down and watch the DVD as many times as we have. The books are an easy and simple way for Connor to share his Signing Time with family and friends as well as enjoy Signing Time basically anywhere. The board books really serve several purposes, they are fun to look at with each page being brightly colored with a combination of illustrations and photos, each page has its own sign with an example and a short easy to understand direction on how to make the sign, and each page is labeled so you can work on your reading skills at the same time.

Along with great board books Signing Time offers a companion flash card set which teaches the basic words and signs, letters, and numbers. Regardless if your truely serious about learning to sign the flash cards are a great tool. Each set comes on its own plastic D Ring so you can easily attach them to the side of your stroller or diaper bag, and let me tell you they are a GREAT distraction tool (thats actually educational) if your stuck waiting in a doctor's office.

I personally cannot wait to expand our video collection with Signing Time. Id really love to see Baby Signing Time Volume 2, and Volume 3 of the first series : Everyday Signs!

Signing Time sent us a set of flash card to give away to one lucky reader! One lucky reader will get to start their signing adventure with sets 1-3. Thats a $32.00 value!

I have really been wanting something like this because my twins are now one and not talking too much yet. The one thing that looks so sweet to me is the Good Night Baby: A Collection of Lullabies Music. Thanks!

I could really, really use these flash cards. My daughter has down syndrome and just turned two. She doesn't talk yet and we have started to teach her sign language. These would help me out a lot. I love all of Signing Time's products. My daughter loves watching the show and loves bouncing to the music.

My daughter loves Signing Time. She talks about Leah and Alex all the time, and will periodically say something like "Leah signs 'shoes'" while making the sign as we put on her shoes. I think the board books would be really useful to us because she'd enjoy "reading" them to herself (and anything she can do on her own is going to be really important this fall when baby #2 arrives!).

I think the Baby Signing Time DVD Gift Set and the CDS that are related to it would be beneficial for the toddler we are adopting from Russia. I think the products could help us to communicate with each other as our little one adjusts to life with a family and to a new language.

I think Signing Time is a wonderful tool for teaching kids to sign. We have been teaching our little one to sign since he was just a couple months old. My son would love any of the Signing Time dvds. We have seen a couple of the Signing Time shows on tv. He really likes to imitate the children in the videos signing. THANKS!

We LOVE the ST DVD's. I was introduced to them when my twins were 2 and they are by far the best DVD's we've watched.

I've never tried the other products (other than the CD's), but we have 1-12 in the DVD collection (regular ST) and they're wonderful.

I have been signing a handful of words with both my older girls since they were infants. Both of them were always very attentive while I signed to them, but until we started watching 'Baby Signing Time' they hadn't really attempted as many signs on their own. I really think the engaging DVD helped. The music is upbeat and the songs are catchy. The repetition is an effective teaching tool for babies. I can't wait to start signing with my youngest 3 month old baby girl. We haven't watched the original series so I am unable to compare them, but I am positive that we will be investing in some more of these DVDs as our family becomes more sign savvy. We would love to win the flash cards. I know my older girls (ages 3 & 5) would enjoy them. Thanks so much!

Great products! Looks like they have a lot of different resources based on your level and best learning style. I think 'my first signs' DVD would be the most beneficial at this point, because we're starting from scratch. I actually took ASL in college, so I'm hoping it would all come back to me! But my husband wont want to feel left behind, so the plan would be to start from the beginning, and work up as a family. laurachilton {at} hotmail {dot} com

I have been looking at these products and this company since I first became pregnant with my daughter, born this past January. Looking at their items, I'd love to get the entire collection! I llike that the site has ways of determining what might be the best choices for you based on why you want to teach your child to sign. After looking at that, I'd most likely want to begin with Baby Signing Time Volume 1 and 2 DVD's.

I'd love either the flash cards or board book. My 20 month old loves signing time and I plan to use it later with my newborn. We have volumes 1-3 as well but it is the older version, not the revised version. I have to admit that I've seen the newer versions on PBS and I really like the old ones better. The bummer is only volumes 1-3 is in the old format. I think if I had only seen the new version I would be fine but I love the old version because it is more simple and features the kids more than Rachel herself. It is before "hopkins" time. Anyone else have a chance to see the first version?
