Shaklee eco friendly cleaning products that are actually quite thrifty!

Though I find it frustrating that eco friendly does not always mean budget friendly, Shaklee products are the closest thing I've found that satisfies my need to Thrift and my need to not expose my son to more chemicals than necessary (not to mention destroying the world he has to live in)!

The Shaklee Get Clean Kit is basically an all in one cleaning products kit which is a great way to not only get started with Shaklee products but also is a good way to restock at a fairly low price. At first I thought the 164.15 (non members) and 146.60 (members) price tag was a bit high but seeing as all of the products you receive are highly concentrated you are actually buying a HUGE amount of products. Shaklee advertises that you would have to spend over 3,400 to get the same amount of products, though I can't say if thats really the case, but I can say that you really do get a lot for your money!

When my care package from Shaklee came the first product I grabbed was the Dish Wash Automatic Detergent. At first glance its actually a fairly small bag and I admit I had a brief thought when I opened the bag of " wow.. this wont last long " well that was over a month ago and I am still not even halfway through the bag. Mind you I wash at least one VERY full load of dishes a day. The scooper your given to measure out the amount you actually need to clean your dishes is TINY.. I put my first scoop and was convinced there was no way in the world that that tiny bit of detergent could EVER get my icky nasty dried on milk caked bottles and plates clean.... well I was wrong.. very wrong. So far its not only gotten my plates and bottles sparkle clean but I haven't even noticed one soap spot on my dishes either. I'm guessing at this rate that tiny bag of detergent will end up lasting me as long as two or even three boxes of my regular detergent. Thank you Shaklee!

The Nature Boost Laundry Stain Remover is another one of my favorites. I have been adding a tiny bit to each of my baby loads and it is excellent at getting that mess that Connor is constantly getting on his clothes.. be it filth from crawling across the floor, his sweet potatoes from lunch, or whatever random nonsense he seems to find a way to get on himself, not to mention the stains we would rather not discuss, I've yet to see a spot on his clothes since we started using it. Again all you need is a tiny tiny bit per load so really a little goes a long way.

I still have some more products to go over in the upcoming month, but so far I am ecstatic with Shaklee .. their products go a really long way which is great on my student budget. The only thing I can find at all lacking is really the scents.. their products are scented but its faint. I am a sucker for a nice lavender or gentle scent in a product but for what I'm saving especially on dish washing detergent alone I'm happy to give up my regular product's smell. It never lasts long anyways.

I wanted to share some Shaklee with my readers so I am offering up my package of Germ Off Disinfecting Wipes to one lucky reader! Keep posted as well as I will be revisiting Shaklee soon to talk about some of their other cleaning products in the future.

From looking at their site I think the Dish Wash Liquid Concentrate would be my fave. As an everyday thing it would be great but would be especially great for the cottage - where sink/dish water goes into a gray water pit.

I have been using Shaklee products for over 20 years. I love the vitamins, and cleaning products. My favorite is the Basic G - germacide. It kills just about all germs including the AIDS virus. I feel confident my house is clean and I'm not harming my children with harsh cleaning chemicals.

I like the dryer sheets. I'm afraid to use dryer sheets on my baby's clothes because they may irritate his skin. At the same time though, I hate the static and getting zapped 10 times when I unload the dryer.

i think the H2 super cleaning concentrate would be awesome! i need an organic, safe for baby (and me) cleaner that does the job. vinegar & warm water just doesn't cut the oven grease and it smells like puke (according to my husband). i'm always looking for something that WORKS, is SAFe, smells good, and doesn't hurt the budget. thanks for making me aware of these products! i just thought shaklee was another nutrition company.
