Books books everywhere books.

Connor has a book collection that would even make some library's jealous. He comes by it honestly as his mom grew up with her head stuck in a book so all I did while I was pregnant was search for just the perfect books to add to his collection but very few of his books are board books and even fewer are cloth books. It's not that I have anything against either I actually love board books as he can read them by himself without me worrying about pages coming up missing, but until recently most fabric books just did not appeal to me.

I've never been one for those books with a picture and a name underneath, I realize there is a learning objective in mind with them as it helps babies with recognizing new items but personally I find them boring and I've been reading much more complex books to Connor since before he was born so its hard to keep his attention with them as well. Up till now the only cloth book in our collection has been our Haba cloth book which has been the only one that has kept our attention that is until I came across the new cloth books from eebee!

I've honestly never seen any of the eebee DVDs but I've walked past the one in the Target display countless times always stopping to check out his crazy hair. If his DVDS are anything like his books I'm guessing they are more than worth the money. eebee's new cloth books are beyond fabulous so much so that even I have a hard time keeping my hands off of them. Each of the books in the series are their own play set.

The first book we tried out from the series eebee's Peek a Book Adventure follows eebee as you search for him in the book. Is he under the raincoat, behind the purple cloth, under the hat.. each page has eebee hiding behind something new, behind a new texture. Its the perfect book for even the smallest babies to handle especially on long car rides as there is something new to check out on virtually every page.

The next two books are my favorite from the series eebee's Laundry Time Adventure and eebee's Having a Ball Adventure. The Laundry Time adventure lets babies experience their first wash. You start the book off given some towels that you can pull through the next page into the washing machine. Once your done you can hang up your clothing to dry on the clothing line. I'm sure your wondering how do you wash clothes in a book or hang them up to dry?! The little outfits are attached to the book by ribbons and you can use them on each page as you move from page to page. A perfect book to play with in a waiting room or anytime you need to quietly entertain a toddler. The only issue is sometimes if you pull the clothes through the dryer you may have to rescue them as Connor has a hard time figuring out how to get them back. Regardless its my favorite of all of his "baby" books to date as even I have the best time moving the clothes around. eebee's Having a Ball Adventure is very similar you have a ball tied into the book by a ribbon and you can use it on each page to playing different games with eebee via some carefully placed velcro. You can play catch, basketball, or even roll the ball down the slide. Both of them are unlike anything I have seen in cloth books before!

The last two books in the series come as a set All About Me and You and eebee's Bath Adventure. All About Me and You is a standard board book with a mirror built in for babies to see themselves and the Bath Adventure is a squishy water safe bath book which has a built in squirter. Both of them are excellent but its just hard to hold a candle to the cloth books!

You can read more about eebee and view the books on eebee's website. You can pick up all of eebee's books in their online store as well!

I have a complete set of eebee Adventure books to give away to one lucky lucky reader!!

I think the Laundry Adventures book sounds great. I like the fact that it's a story about an everyday activity that a child will see his/her parent doing. It's also got the added benefit of teaching vocabulary and letting the child explore textures, etc. This could be a first step in encouraging children to help with laundry and make it fun.....when they're a little bit older, of course! LOL!!

Thanks so much!!

We love the Eebee baby at our house. (The DVD is our favorite) I have a funny Eebee story too. A few years ago when we started watching Eebee with our youngest at the time our older son, age 4 or 5 said to me "I wish our baby looked like the Eebee baby". He said it so sweetly too. :-)
