Rock it baby!

I've decided that Connor must be destined to grow up to be either a rock star or a fashion designer as that boy loves to dance and he loves clothes (and jewelry), sadly I'm not joking my boy is all about anything shiny.

Connor loves music and he loves music videos I even catch him dancing to commercials if it has a catchy tune. The only thing he loves more than music is watching other kids dance. Well finally I found the perfect combo all in one. If your looking for unique baby gifts check out That Baby DVD. That Baby DVD is nothing like any other child's DVD I've seen. It's virtually one big kids music video set to kids dancing, cartoons, and even puppets. You may not immediately recognize the songs on the DVD and the first time I watched it I sort of did a double take, hmm this sounds awfully familuar, but the moment I got to the Bob Marley song Three Little Birds though redone I knew immediately what it was. I have to admit I don't read the back covers on the DVDS I review until after I watch them or I would have known that the songs are remakes. Needless to say I was pleasently surprised as there was no cheesy "kid" songs and all of them are the type of songs that you would find yourself singing alone in the car.

Speaking of the car That Baby DVD is also available as That Baby CD so you can take all your favorite That Baby songs with you! I had to giggle as one of the songs included was Pony Boy which was originally a Bruce Springsteen song, which strangely enough was part of my dad's collection when I was growing up I actually remember dancing around the living room with my stick horse, not to embarrass myself but I used to love the "giddy up giddy up" in the melody as it was perfect stick horse riding music. heh.

Regardless if you decided to buy the DVD or the CD or better yet the combo pack with both you will find yourself humming the tunes long after your done listening and watching. Head on over to That Baby DVD to see a sample of the video as well as clips from the cd!

I'm giving away our copy of That Baby CD to one lucky reader!

THE GARDEN SONG./ First time I heard it, it was done by Peter, Paul & Mary.

I was all excited about the songs until I realized I didn't make any of these into a mix tape :-( That's what happens when you are fed a steady stream of Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton and Broadway Show tunes) But, I listened to the clips and think they all sound great and my little one is only 8 months and rocks out to my late 90s 'alternative' music already!

I love These Are The Days. It reminds me of a high school English class project, where one student used that as the soundtrack to her book report video. Man, those WERE the days.
