When I first started looking into cloth diapering every one's first response was you absolutely must check out the bumGenius 3.0!! The newest version of the very popular one size bumGenius its one of the most popular and easy to use diapers on the market.
If your new to cloth diapering and your looking for something simple, ready to go from practically birth to potty training (7 to 35lbs), and great looking this may just be the diaper for you.
I was really revved up about this diaper and in my first month of my cloth switch over it was my favorite diaper. Its very well made every edge and detail has been thought out. Unlike the bulky velcro tabs that many velcro diapers use these use small rounded velcro tabs that are nice and neat and those rounded velcro tabs actually seem to curl less than other velcro closures we have tested. Its still high on our list of favorite diapers I just wish it came in more color options.
If I was to recommend a place to start with cloth diapering if someone had their heart set on a one size diaper the bumGenius 3.0 would be one of my top choices! What really gets me going about bumGenius though is really not the diaper itself but the insert. The bumGenius insert is by far my favorite insert for a one size diaper. The reason is quite simply because its totally foolproof. The biggest issue I had with cloth diapers when I first started was what to do with the inserts if I wanted to size the diapers down. Sure there are a ton of options in inserts but what seems to be the going favorite are these one sized long inserts that come with most diapers on the market, the bumGenius insert at first looks just like all the rest but the one big difference is that they have snaps that allow you to fold down the insert and snap it together so it stays how you want it. Most of the other inserts you just have to fold them down and try to keep them folded while you stuff the diaper. It's possible its just the lazy in me talking but I really love the fact that when I snap the bumGenius insert down it will stay down. The only disadvantage to this is that you have to unsnap it to wash it properly so it does mean getting your hands a little dirty but I honestly do not mind.
Pros :
- Great looking, easy to use!
- One sized diapers fit a large range of babies! This one from 8lbs to 35lbs!
- Very clean look, our diapers show no sign of "velcro curl"
- The bumGenius insert is our favorite thus far!
- Limited color choices.
- Is slightly bulkier than some of the other one size diapers we tested.
The One Size Diaper Store offers more than just the bumGenius 3.0. If you're leaning towards a one sized diaper its certainly a great place to start your shopping list!

Those are pretty cool. We considered doing cloth diapers when both of our girls were baby, but ended up sticking with disposables. It seems though that in the last couple of years, there have been some great improvements on what's available for those looking for cloth.
Did you know that you can also get BumGenius in Target stores now? I'm so excited about that! Now it is easy to grab a diaper when I go out and not pay shipping. I get to freshen up my supply easily.
