Revisiting my childhood!

The Muppet Show: The Complete Third Season!

I hate to give away my age, but I grew up with the Muppet Show. I still reenact The Swedish Chef while I am cooking as honestly I am not the best cook ever so I might as well be funny.

My favorite episode EVER made is on this DVD.
Alice Cooper visits the Muppets and offers the Muppets anything they want in exchange for their souls. It sounds awful but this was during the time where rock stars such as Alice Cooper were considered by many to be EVIL.. (LOL) Oh man, it's funny and I promise its children friendly unless they are scared of guys with long hair and super bad wardrobes.

A little side note.. Fozzie Bear is on the cover and he is actually fuzzy. Not that his fuzziness is a huge deal but I thought it was neat.

The final retail price will be $39.99 and that sounds a bit high, but for 24 episodes thats really like paying about $1.65 per episode. Totally worth it to regain a piece of my childhood.

Here is the actual info on the DVD :

I never got to watch t.v. when I was younger, so it wasn't until after I was married that my husband introduced me to the Muppet Show. I'll enter this for his sake, and mine, and for the sake of our three girls, because the Muppet Show rocks!

I don't have just one favorite, but the Swedish Chef makes me laugh every time I see him.

We love The Muppet Show. A few years back, I bought my kids the Season 1 DVD and it was so great sharing with them all of the classics that I enjoyed as a kid, like "Mna-Mna."

I have always liked Animal. From the Season 3 list, I think the Harry Belafonte episode would be the one that is most memorable to me. I can still picture him singing The Banana Boat Song (Day-O).

Well, for this season, Liberace is probably my favorite episode (so far).

Overall, I like Mark Hamill and Garth Brooks as guest stars (Garth was on Muppets Tonight and did everything except country most of the show).

Favorite sketch overall - probably the wonderful trio singing "Danny Boy" - Beeker, Animal, and the Swedish Chef. As a musician, that cracks me up.

(Had no idea Season 3 was coming out so soon after Season 2. The wait between Seasons 1 and 2 was really long.)

Gonzo has always made me laugh no matter what skit he was in. However, all the characters are really great. I love the opening theme song as well!
