I remember the first time I saw a Baby Einstein movie. Some parent friends of mine insisted up and down that I HAD to have every Baby Einstein movie ever made.. needless to say the first time I watched it for myself I was mesmerized. There was very little talking, and lots of closeups on toys and misc objects, I wasn't so sure if I was impressed or confused.
Needless to say I didn't understand the Baby Einstein phenomenon until Connor was about three months old, we revisited the tapes and he couldn't take his eyes off the screen!
Unlike traditional movies Baby Einstein DVDS are designed to be a hands on learning tool for babies. Not only will your baby (or even toddler) love the movies but you can really use them as a teaching tool by either pointing and talking about the items on the screen or even teaching at the same time as the DVD. Finally a set of DVDs that even your littlest munchkin can watch, enjoy, and you don't have to feel guilty about it even for a second. Connor actually enjoyed watching his first Baby Einstein DVD when he was three months old, he would actually watch it while he rocked in his swing.
Baby's First Sounds is the newest addition to the Baby Einstein DVD collection and to date my favorite from the series. Connor is in the midst of trying to talk and though he does have a few words down pat, this DVD will be valuable tool in helping him master a few more! The DVD features sounds based on easy sounds your baby can make when they are just learning to talk, ah, buh, duh, ee, and mm. Connor has mastered Da-Da (go figure) and Ba-Ba but we really need to work on the Ma-Ma. Needless to say we will be working on our mm's.
