DVD Review - Love to Dance with Angelina Ballerina

What's not to love about angelina Ballerina? She's a pink mouse after all and even the cover to this dvd features her in a sparkling glitter pink tutu! Just watching Angelina makes me wish a little that I had a girl in the house but Connor would be first to tell you that his favorite color is "pink"! heh. Angelina Ballerina - Love to Dance features five Angelina episodes plus three special features including one dvd game! Angelina's New School, Angela's Dance Partner, Angelina's Oldest Friend, Angelina's Sleepover, and Angelina and the Hip Hop Kid are all included on the dvd!

Our favorite episode on the dvd was Angelina and the Hip Hop Kid. Angelina is supposed to be directing a new hip hop video but during filming her star performer, AZ, falls and ends up hurting his foot! We particuarlly liked this epsidoe as it sort of strayed away from the others with the hip hop music and Connor loves the character AZ. Overall it's an excellent show and one of the few shows that's really meant for girls as though we adore shows like Dora she isn't exactly a "girlie girl". Angelina Ballerina is now animated in CG which gives her a sort of soft round look that reminds me a bit of smooth rounded toy which sort of makes you feel like you can reach out and just pick her up. She'd be a perfect edition to any little girl's dvd collection!
