A new year, a new season of Transformers.

I was so excited last year to see so many Transformer releases on DVD, you can never get enough of one of your childhood favorites. Transformers Animated Season Two leaves off where Transformers Animated Season One left off last fall. The Transformers Animated series is one of my favorite series thus far since the original, as I said in the previous review, a lot of this has to do with the fact that its pretty true to the original Transformer's model and it lacks the 3D animation that some of the other Transformer's series have employed since the original. I know I know why not use the technology if we have it, but to be quite honest with you other than doing something fully in CGI I am just not a fan of 3D animations.

Transformers Animation remides me a bit of a more slightly cartoonish version of the original Transformer's episodes. The characters seem a bit more rounded and the children are more anime style. The story stays pretty much the same. The Transformers are searching for the Allspark, or that is they found the Allspark in the last season but this time around its been destroyed and the quest is to find all the pieces before the Decepticons do. Those poor Autobots it seems they can never hang on to that Allspark even when they do get it.
