Its no secret we love dog movies!!

It's never been a secret that we are totally in love with movies about dogs. Why not seeing as our house is filled with the sounds of the pitter patter of little paws and I'm fairly certain we will be having some extra paws here soon as our beloved Lelah may just be pregnant. With the smell of puppies in the air its only appropriate that Disney released one of our all time favorites Oliver and Company 20th Anniversary Edition.

So whats so special about Oliver and Company? Well first off its based on my favorite childhood book Oliver Twist except this little Oliver is a kitty! In real life this may not be the case but Dodger the street smart and tough rough and tumbly street dog meets tiny orphaned kitty and he brings him home to his gang of street dogs and they take him in. I know if a kitty tried to enter the backyard realm of my own dogs there may be trouble, however, the whole idea of a street gang of dogs taking in a poor defenseless kitty sort of heartwarming and believe able in a Disney sort of way.

Oliver finds his way into the arms of Jenny a very rich and incredibly nice little girl who takes Oliver in. Everyone is happy with this except the kineving leader of the doggie street gang Sykes who decides to kidnap Jenny and hold her for the cash. Luckily not all street dogs are bad and Dodger and his friends offer to help Oliver rescue Jenny! The rest is up to Oliver.

Oliver and Company 20th Anniversary Edition is available starting Feb 3rd and like many Disney rereleases if its something you want to add to your collection you better pick it up fast as Disney is notorious about having short releases before they all sell out! You can pick up your copy on Amazon!

I have two copies of Oliver and Company 20th Anniversary Edition to give away to my readers!

When my 10 year old daughter (who is totally reading over my shoulder) saw the dvd that is featured in this giveaway, her voice went up about 3 decibels as she squealed, "That's like my favorite movie!" She said her favorite family dog movie is 101 Dalmatians. I agree with her. That is a pretty good one.
