Go Go Power Rangers!!

It's been years since I watched Power Rangers. Actually the last time I really spent time watching Power Ranger episodes was the afternoons after I would come home from High School back then it was the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and I was a bit jealous of the Pink Ranger's outfit. From the first season to one of the newest installments Power Rangers Jungle Fury the idea is still really the same. Teenagers with the job of protecting the earth, this time working in a Pizza Parlor who just happens to be run by their new teacher. Mmm remind you a bit of anything or is it just me?

Really the biggest change from Power Rangers of my teenage years and today is how incredibly cooler their new costumes are. In this series Dai Shi is the big baddie and the beast warriors the Pai Zhua, better known as the Power Rangers, have to defeat him. One unusual aspect about these Power Rangers is there are the red, blue, and yellow ranger but there are also new "animal warriors".

One thing I totally forgot about Power Rangers is just how funny it is. It seems that the "fighting" is broken up by totally goofy sayings, rediculous enemies, and just plain goofy stayings. It's actually fun. The first 12 episodes of Power Rangers Jungle Fury is currently out on DVD. The first of which is Power Rangers Power Rangers Jungle Fury : Into the Jungle. Into the Jungle includes the first episodes including the first epsidoe in which you learn how Dai Shi is released.

The second DVD in the series Power Rangers Jungle Fury : Way of the Master includes another handfull of episodes including the first epsidoe where you see the Bat Ranger. The Bat Ranger is not exactly a whole new ranger but its a spirt that a ranger can summon. It's a new idea in Power Rangers that I have seen, but its kinda a neat idea, it certainly gives the Power Rangers a whole new set of powers.

All in all Power Rangers is a great series for younger kids who want to see some action but you're worried about shows being too violent. Though there are some fighting scenes in Power Rangers they are very mild and you never really see anyone getting hurt. It's a fun show with some goofy moments and the costumes are pretty neat.
