I know what I would want for Christmas if I was Connor!

I dreamed of two things growing up that would show up on Christmas morning. The first and most important one was I was obsessed with the fact that I absolutely had to have a green pony. Why green? Who knows but my dad's friend Gary promised me a green pony and Gary... I am still waiting on that pony, I look for him every year. The second one was I always dreamed of having a train that circled our Christmas tree. I'm not sure why on this one but I absolutely loved trains and for a short while we had a motorized train set which I have no idea what happened to it.

I'm not sure if they were just not as common but those wooden train sets that are all set up and ready to play that you find at some book stores just did not exist when I was growing up so getting to play with one on the rare occasion was a super big treat. So I knew that thought I'm not sure I can afford to buy Connor a pony and dye him green I could at least get him the train set I always craved. Plan Toys offers ecofriendly beautiful modern looking train sets that are not only beautiful but they seamlessly integrate with other standard sized wooden train sets, such as Brio, so you can mix and match them any way your heart desires. One thing that Plan Toy's train sets offer that other train sets do not is the fact that they are as much train sets as they are "transportation sets" meaning they are part of the Plan Toys Plan City series.

Play City revolves much more around an urban train enviorment. Trains, cars, construction vehicles, police cars all are fair game when it comes to the Plan City tracks. There are two different sets of tracts available to Plan Toys sets both a train track and a road system both of which are included in the Road and Rail Set from Plan Toys. Your little Plan Toys people can drive up in their cars, park at the gas station and wait for a passenger train at the train stop. I love the simple design of the set like all Plan Toys items its really gorgeous and its just one of those toys that you wont mind seeing sitting in the middle of the living room. I cannot wait to set it up for Connor after Christmas and see the look on his face.

Though if your looking for the perfect toy for a Toddler on your gift list there is one Plan Toy that has quickly become my favorite that would make the perfect gift for any kids from a newborn to even a preschooler. The Dancing Alligator from Plan Toys is not only pretty to look at and would look amazing sitting on a shelf in a nursery waiting for his chance to play as the child grows and is the perfect companion for toddlers learning to walk, and older children will absolutely love listening to to "click - clack" as you roll the alligator across the floor. We tested out the Dancing Alligator recently and I have to say I'm not sure who loved it more me or Connor. The "clacking" noise that it makes as it rolls is not annoying as some action toys can be and Connor can't decide if he wants to clap with it or roll it around. I personally loved the way the wooden blocks move back and forth as you roll him around it has to be the prettiest pull toy I have seen thus far. At under $20 its very affordable on any budget and parents will love the fact that like all Plan Toys no batteries are required.

I have a Dancing Alligator from Plan Toys to give away to one lucky reader. I have to say I'm pretty jealous of the little kid that gets this one as its really a great toy!

  8. We have a Plan Toys fire engine, and it's probably the most well-constructed toy we have! It's so cool, and that banjo is just the bomb. I'm planning on Plan Toys for Christmas this year.
