Bring Hanna Montana home for the holidays!

Hanna Montana seems to be a household name these days so much so that all I seem to see these days when I'm out shopping is Hanna Montana themed everything! heh. Must be good to be Hannah Montana. Well up till now other than the songs and occasionally when I saw little bits of her show on Disney I had really never sat down and watched a Hannah Montana episode and its really not at all what I expected.

Actually my previous impression of Hannah Montana when the show first aired was a big *sigh* as all I could think was Billy Ray was trying to drag his short lived career out of the dumps by pawning off his daughter in the attempt. Sorry guys I couldn't help myself, however ironically after catching a few of the episodes on TV I started to enjoy them, though actually catching one and watching it from start to finish is nearly impossible with an 18 month old, so I don't think up till now I had actually seen an entire episode much less more than three or four partial episodes. Though believe me I hear enough about Hannah Montana from all of my cousins and friend's kids to almost be an expert before we even get started.

Hannah Montana is actually Miley Stewart a totally normal even somewhat dorky teenager who is attempting to hang onto her normal life while donning an alternate persona as Hannah Montana thanks to a wig. This is the only part of the story that I do not understand as Miley still looks just like Miley in her wig minus the fact that she is blond. Miley's dad is played by her real dad who has the same real life job he has as Miley's manager and of course the awesome task of trying to keep his teenage daughter in line and as normal as possible in the midst of her success.

The show itself is not a super huge budget super flashy show like you would expect it to be seeing as much money it makes for the Disney Channel, however, really I think thats part of the charm. It reminds me of the same fast whitted type humor that made one of the most popular shows of my generation awesome as well Saved by the Bell minus as many characters but its still the classic story of teenagers just attempting to make it through school in one piece.

There are four discs and 26 episodes of Hannah Montana fun including in the set which means you can finally sit down and actually watch an episode with a little help of the pause button even if you have a monkey climbing up your leg (aka Connor) just like I do. I'm currently just about through disk two and currently my favorite episode is "I can't make you love Hannah Montana if you don't!" as it features Miley in quite the situation, her new boyfriend loves her but not Hannah? How is that even possible, heh, if only he knew! How incredibly awkward would it be if you had a "secret" life and your partner or boyfriend decided your other self was no good.. LOL can you only imagine? Just watching Miley switch between Miley and Hannah at her concert in attempts to impress her new boyfriend is exhausting not to mention how exactly does she keep her hair looking so great between using that wig? heh.

There is really no explanation needed truthfully, every girl under the age of 12 (and many of the boys too regardless if they admit it or not) will be foaming at the mouth to get this new box set as apparently from what I'm told there is just no such thing as too much Hannah Montana.
